Environmental Commitment

At Aylesworth’s FISH & BAIT we are operating in ways that are more sensitive to the environment, from reducing energy use, reducing water use and adopting renewable energy sources, to packaging products with less waste material and recycling more of the waste generated by our own operations.

In doing so, we pledge to reduce our impact on the environment and join our customers in making the world a better place to live.

We have taken the following steps to reduce our energy footprint:

• Modernized our existing refrigerated facilities

• Constructed a new freezer with upgraded insulation and energy efficient refrigeration equipment

• Re-roofed our entire plant with an added layer of insulation to conserve energy

• Installed the most efficient truck refrigeration systems available utilizing the latest environmentally friendly refrigerant on the market

• Implemented an aggressive equipment maintenance plan to support efficient plant and vehicle operating systems

• Upgraded our offices utilizing efficient office insulation & lighting

• Installed energy efficient central office heating and air conditioning

• Instituted a packaging reduction program

  
  

To improve our conservation of water, we have:

• Upgraded all existing plumbing lines and refrigeration lines

• Replaced all old plumbing fixtures with new low flow fixtures

• Installed a reclaimed water system to sprinkle landscaping when necessary

  
  

Our ongoing operations, will:

• Use both sides of office paper when receiving faxes and making copies

• Recycle all office paper and aluminum cans

• Reduce packaging on products sold

• Repair and rebuild wood pallets for reuse and lengthened life

• Continue to research the viability of the use of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs), which reduce the use of petroleum fuel, reduce harmful emissions and increase fuel efficiency.
